Omoplata

I'm not sure of the origin of this word, I'll have to ask one of my Brazilian students, or I'm sure someone here will post it for us later, but this move is awesome! It can be attacked from many differnt situations as a counter or an attack. Here, Kim uses it on June to counter a triangle block.

Step 1

June is blocking Kim's triangle attempt by wrapping her hands around Kim's body.

Step 2

Kim uses her right hand to push June's head away. Kim spins on her lower back to her left as she drops her left calf down across June's shoulder. Kim places her left hand on June's back to help prevent June from rolling out.

Step 3

Kim uses the momentum of her left leg to sit up. She then keeps her abs tight to June's arm to trap it. Kim pulls herself up towards June's shoulder as she pushes down on June's back with her left hand.

Step 4

Kim slides her left foot to the right as she switches to her left hip. Kim then pulls her weight ontop of June's right shoulder and leans forward, putting on as much forward pressure as possible.

Ricopcola
i like using omo plata as a finishing move for a fake armbar, they think you released or wiggled out and then, bang!!! that arm falls right where you want it, once you sit up they are half way to tapping.
