Overhook Armbar from N/S

Another simple and easy to pull off armbar once in control of the top position.

Step 1

We start in a N/S chest to chest position with over hooks.

Step 2

I scoop up Shane's arm, pull it high under my arm pit and...

Step 3

trap it by pulling my elbow into my side with my hand behind the tricep. Just as I'm about to attempt the armbar, I place my other (left) hand on his shoulder (out of site, sorry), throat, or face, and...

Step 4

push myself up to a one up one (knee) down position, while pinning his shoulder or face, or crushing his throat (more for the steet) to the mat.

Step 5

I pivot off my left foot and shot my knee toward his rib cage. Keeping my hand on he back of his arm.

Step 6

Sit back on the mat with my hand positioned on my thigh...

Finish

and finish with an over hooked Japanese armbar. Keep the head trapped tight!!

Quantum Jim
When you do this, drive him to his side. Secure by having one knee (or leg) in the center of his shoulder blades and the other around his head. From his modified NS position, the armbar is mucheasier.
